Citywide Rx Confab
October 7, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - October 8, 2022 @ 5:00 pm
The WDCPhA continues our ‘Year of Celebration’ to honor and commemorate the service of those pharmacy professionals who founded the organizations that are the forerunners of the association we hold dear to this day.
This year we celebrate the founding anniversaries of:
- The District of Columbia Pharmaceutical Association – 170 years
- The Washington Pharmaceutical Association– 75 years
- The Washington DC Pharmacy Association – 47 years
This year for our second celebratory effort, the WDCPhA and the Citywide Rx Coalition (CRxC) will join together to host the ‘Second Annual Citywide Rx Confab’. This free event is open to the DC pharmacy community and will be held during National Pharmacy Month, October 7 – 8, 2022. The two-day conference will be at the peaceful, retreat atmosphere of the Stuart Center located at 821 Varnum Street, NE, WDC 20017. The planned activities include a ‘Citywide Rx Reception’ on Friday night October 7, 2022 from 6:30pm-9:30pm and the ‘Citywide Rx Conference’ on Saturday October 8, 2022 from 9:30am-5pm. We will also have a live CE program to start the day on Saturday.
The theme for this year’s pharmacy conference is “Expanding the Possibilities for Pharmacists in Healthcare’. The events are free to pharmacists, pharmacy students, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy thought-leaders and stakeholders who share in our goals to advance the pharmacy profession.
Look forward to hearing the latest updates on local and national subjects of importance including APhA policy issues presented by speakers of national prominence who partner with us to advocate for the pharmacy profession. We also want to hear about your issues regarding scope of practice, workplace wellness, and identify barriers and entities opposing pharmacy advancement. The education module will continue with a live CE program on a topic required for the upcoming 2023 license renewal period.
